About Rawkfist

I started Rawkfist to keep friends (and anyone else who cares) up to date on the bands that I follow.  Since I’m always on top of rock news anyway, I figure I might as well share it.

You’ll hear about a lot of mainstream modern rock bands (Disturbed, Nickelback, Papa Roach, etc.), but then also Christian Rock (Thousand Foot Krutch [who I borrowed the name Rawfist from], Skillet, Disciple, etc.).  You get the idea.  And for good measure I’ll even throw in some “dance rock” (something I’ve been really digging this past year, even though a couple of the local bands have since broken up)

I’ll never claim to offer ALL rock news, just the stuff that I think’s worth it.  Do you care that Foo Fighters just released a live show on Bluray?  I don’t know, maybe, but that’s not too exciting for me.  But when RED releases a new track off an album that’s not coming out until February (Fight Inside was just released today) then I think that’s pretty cool and I’ll let you know.  Even better, if a band is offering a free download of a new song, be it an mp3 or video (like Papa Roach did with their video for Hollywood Whore), I’m all over it.
